The 2-6 49ers are fearing running back and punt returner Reggie Bush has a torn ACL, following a slip and fall on concrete lining the playing field at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis during Sunday's 27-6 loss, according to reports from FOX Sports and the NFL Network.
Bush, handling punt return duties after the team parted with Jarryd Hayne Saturday, took a punt return in the first quarter Sunday along the right sideline and fell by the barrier separating the field from the stands.
