Well, that didn't last long. After signing fullback/tight end James Casey to a one-year, $1.25 million deal in April, the Denver Broncos are about to move on from the seventh-year pro.
After serving his four-game suspension for violating the National Football League's performance enhancing drug (PED) policy, defensive end Derek Wolfe returned to the team this week.
The Broncos had to make a corresponding roster cut to stay at 53 guys and Casey is the odd man out. Initially expected to see the field more, Casey has only played 19 snaps through four games.
