Recap: Wisconsin Blanks Hawaii

MADISON - Putting up big offensive numbers has been a challenge for the University of Wisconsin for the past two weeks against overmatched nonconference opponents. With the way the Badgers’ defense is performing, it hasn’t even mattered.

Wisconsin continued battered opposing offenses, holding its third straight opponent out of the end zone in a 28-0 victory over Hawaii in the Badgers’ first night game since 2012.

Through 12 quarters on its home turf, Wisconsin has given up only three points. And while the Badgers (3-1) didn’t force a turnover, UW’s unit held the Rainbow Warriors to 255 total yards, including only 15 rushing yards, and threw consistent pressure at Hawaii quarterback Max Wittek.
