One Tyler passed another into the Boise State record book.
SAN DIEGO--Boise State placekicker Tyler Rausa booted his way into history this afternoon against Northern Illinois in the Poinsettia Bowl.
Rausa's second field goal of the game pushed him past Tyler Jones for the Boise State single-season record with 25. Earlier, Rausa's second extra point allowed him to pass former Utah kicker Louie Sakoda for the single-season Mountain West Conference scoring record by a kicker. Sakoda previously held the MW record with 122.
Rausa is already 10th in career field goals at Boise State in his first season.
