The Carolina Panthers made a move on Tuesday to help bolster a cornerback position that has been hit hard with injuries.
The Carolina Panthers announced on Tuesday that they had signed cornerback Robert McClain to replace the injured Bene Benwikere, who was placed on injured reserve according to the team's website. Benwikere suffered a fractured leg against the Atlanta Falcons and was playing in place of injured Charles Tillman.
McClain is someone who is familiar to the Panthers' organization after he was drafted in the seventh round by the organization in 2010.
