When it comes to recruiting paper does not always translate into results but for Bob Davie and the New Mexico Lobos coaching staff they do know that results do lead to better recruiting. The Lobos who finished the season with a record of 7-6 made an appearance in the New Mexico Bowl and had some exposure with games on ESPNU and ESPN2 this year.
They have shown that they are a program on the rise which makes it a lot easier to sell players on parents on the idea of playing for the Lobos.
When Davie took over five years ago he took over a program that was decimated he could not image that he would be competing against the power five conferences for some player and actually winning.
