Two undefeated teams met in Los Angeles on Saturday night and unfortunately, it was the Trojans (3-0) that came out unscathed. New Mexico's (3-1) second half rally wasn't enough to make up for their slow start.
Tim Williams led the Lobos with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Elijah Brown chipped in 18 points and big man Obij Aget had a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards. Despite these promising performances, New Mexico was unable to pick up the win.
So what went wrong? With the score knotted at 12 apiece, USC went on a 20-8 run.
