Nevada guard Desmond Cambridge was given the Mountain West Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.
Of the three games the Wolf Pack had last week, Cambridge posted two 20-point performances and averaged 19.7 points on 42.6 percent (20-for-47) shooting and 41.4 percent from 3-point range. Cambridge hit 12 3-pointers last week and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the charity stripe. He added 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks in 31.0 minutes per game.
Cambridge totaled a season-best 27 points on 9-of-19 shooting (7-of-11 from deep) in Nevada’s 79-72 win over San Diego.
