The Nevada men’s basketball team landed Florida Atlantic transfer Kenan Blackshear, he announced via twitter Friday.
Blackshear fills Nevada’s final remaining scholarship, which re-opened after Wichita State transfer Trey Wade decommitted due to family reasons last week. He is the younger brother of former Virginia Tech and Florida forward, Kerry Blackshear — an All-ACC and All-SEC honoree.
Blackshear, a 6-foot-6 two-way wing, has three years of eligibility remaining. Last year, he averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 steals in 23.9 minutes per game. Blackshear shot 46.0 percent from the floor, 31.
