A second-half surge from the Grand Canyon Antelopes led to a 87-77 victory over the Nevada Wolf Pack Friday evening at GCU Arena in Phoenix, Ariz.
The Pack held a 62-60 lead — capping off an 8-0 run by a layup from forward Warren Washington.
GCU manufactured a game-altering 15-0 run to command a 75-62 lead — its largest lead of the night — and wouldn’t look back. The lead did not dip below double digits the remainder of the night.
Nevada drops to 4-2 on the season while Grand Canyon advances to an 4-0.
Grand Canyon has won by an average of 24 points per game this season.
