A late second-half surge fueled a Nevada Wolf Pack 84-74 win over the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday in Lubbock, Texas.
After trailing 70-69 with 4:50 to go, Nevada closed the contest on a 15-4 run. It involved three makes from outside, two coming from Desmond Cambridge and the other from Grant Sherfield.
Nevada sweeps the road series between the two foes, winning by an average of 12 points. The Pack have won the last five meetings between the two programs.
Saturday’s win advances it to 8-3 with a 3-1 Mountain West conference record. New Mexico drops its fourth straight, falling to 3-4 with an 0-4 conference record.
