JUCO player of the year Deion James has announced that he will commit to Colorado State, according to his Twitter page Tuesday evening.
The 6-8, 195-pound forward from Tucson, Arizona spent his first two seasons with Pima Community College. He started all 33 games and averaged 20.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
James will be a major addition to the Colorado State frontcourt next season. He will team up with Nico Carvacho, who averaged 5.4 points in 36 games his freshman year, and Alonzo Tyson, a talented JUCO commit. With the loss of Emmanuel Omogbo, a first team all-Mountain West forward last season, Larry Eustachy has bounced back nicely with a formidable trio of forwards.
