In wake of the new NIL legislation that goes into effect July 1, NCAA president Mark Emmert is recommending approval of name, image and likeness. The collegiate athletic landscape is changing and it appears the NCAA’s leverage is diminishing, especially since state NIL laws will supersede any NCAA rule.
