The Mountain West Conference had two teams selected into the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
The regular and conference tournament champions San Diego State go a six seed in the Midwest bracket and will take on the Syracuse Orange out of the ACC. The Orange finished 16-9 overall and 9-7 in the ACC, which was good enough for eighth in the regular season.
San Diego State enters the NCAA Tournament on a 13-game winning streak, one of the hottest teams in the country.
The team that the Aztecs beat in the MWC Tournament Championship Game, Utah State, received a 11-seed in the South bracket and will face the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
