Longtime special teams standout will be given opportunity to compete for playing time with Bruce Irvin moving south to Oakland but the length and dollars of the contract indicate that Seattle will be looking to the draft for reinforcements at strongside linebacker.
Owner Paul Allen tweeted out Saturday's news, welcoming back free agent outside linebacker Mike Morgan, whom SeahawkFootball.com has learned has agreed to a one-year extension to remain in Seattle.
The 28-year old Morgan has spent his entire NFL career with the Seahawks after signing with the club as an undrafted free agent out of USC where he also played under Pete Carroll.
