The wide receiver is "sticking to his original plan."
Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd said, during the offseason, that he would retire after the 2015 campaign.
He wants to spend more time with family. He wants to enter a new phase of his life.
After racking up 21 receptions, 409 yards and three touchdowns through eight games, Floyd was injured in Week Nine when trying to catch a deep ball against the Bears. He came down hard and suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
It is unclear whether he will play again this season.
