The Indianapolis Colts have parted ways with outside linebacker Jonathan Newsome, who was arrested last week on two counts of marijuana possession in Zionsville, Ind.
The roster move was first tweeted Monday by NFL Media Insider Ian Rapaport of NFL.com and NFL Network. The team announced the roster move a short time later.
Reserve outside linebacker Andy Studebaker, signed late last season, was also released.
Newsome tweeted: "Somethngs happen and I cant question God and his plan. Bottom line you have to stay the course and pray about it but never worry about it.
