Jeff Cumberland signed a one-year deal with the Chargers
Former Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland has found a new home. Cumberland will be moving to the opposite coast, the left coast, and suiting up for the San Diego Chargers.
The Chargers still have Antonio Gates, who is somehow still productive when healthy at 35-years-old, but they lost Ladarius Green to the Pittsburgh Steelers so they needed a second receiving tight end. The only problem the Chargers have at tight end now is since Cumberland is so inconsistent they are still going to want to find another tight end either in the draft or once training camp cuts come.
