Grant Sherfield’s game-winning fadeaway with 2.8 seconds to go gave the Nevada Wolf Pack a 74-72 victory over the Boise State Broncos, handing them their third loss of the season Friday.
Nevada trailed for most of the second half, but the deficit never fell above six points. Its first lead of the half came with 55 seconds to go after Sherfield’s floater.
Rayj Dennis tied it at 72 with 31 seconds remaining, prompting the Pack to call its second-to-last timeout. Sherfield got to his spot on the Spain pick-and-roll action, netting a Michael Jordan-esque fadeaway with under three seconds to go.
