Devante Mays injury: Utah State’s top rusher leaves game on crutches

Utah State opened up conference play against Air Force Saturday night but they are down one key player in this contest. Starting running back Devante Mays suffered a leg injury two weeks ago against USC and played less than one half, he dressed but sat out last week against Arkansas State but after one carry against the Falcons he was on the ground rolling in pain.

Mays’ first carry did not come until midway through the first quarter as Tonny Lindsey got the start but he has done nothing of note on the ground and at the time of the injury had just 7 yards on eight carries, so the team went with Mays.
