The Boise State football team rebounded to top San Jose State.
SAN JOSE, California--Boise State came from behind to defeat San Jose State 40-23 yesterday afternoon, averting a three-game losing streak, the likes of which no Bronco football team has seen in 18 years.
The Broncos advanced to 8-4 with the victory, Boise State's 16th consecutive season with eight or more wins. That enabled Boise State to tie BYU for fifth in college football history for the most consecutive eight-win seasons (see chart at the end of this article.)
Jeremy McNichols ran for a career-high 192 yards, including a school-record 88-yard run for a score, scored on a 19-yard run and also had six receptions for 40 yards and a third touchdown.
