UNLV announced today that it will part ways with head football coach Tony Sanchez at seasons end, Sanchez will coach the game Saturday against UNR. The Rebels are currently 3-8, and won its first conference game on Saturday against San Jose State.
In his five seasons, UNLV is 19-40 overall and 12-27 in the Mountain West Conference. During his time, UNLV has not finished higher than in third place in the West Division standings. The Rebels have not made a bowl game under Sanchez.
“I’m grateful for my time here and proud of the strides we made as a football program, on and off the field,” Sanchez said in a statement.
