With the conclusion of New Mexico and San Diego State Saturday night, the 2017 Mountain West men’s basketball tournament bracket has been set.
Though the San Diego State Aztecs came into the year as the preseason favorite, receiving 23 of 26 first place votes, the team projected to finish second in the MWC finished as the regular season champion.
The Nevada Wolf Pack, led by transfer Marcus Marshall, clinched its first-ever Mountain West regular season title with a 85-72 victory over Colorado State in a winner-take-all matchup Saturday afternoon. Boise State rounded out the top three in the standings with an easy win against Air Force.
