Boise State Collects First Conference Win of Season

Boise State needed to win one of their two conference games they were due to play this month and did just that by handling Colorado State by a score of 75-64 on Saturday night. The Broncos who entered they day (4-3, 0-1) needed someone besides Derrick Alston to step up and Justinian Jessup did just that by setting his career high in both points (27) and 3 pointers made (7). Derrick Alston once again showed up big for the Broncos with 20 points while also adding 11 rebounds. After the close loss to New Mexico on Wednesday, the Broncos needed a win here in order not to start 0-2 in conference before playing Wyoming on New Year’s Day.
