The Broncos followed one of their best performances of the year with a headscratcher in Boise. The Broncos had a fast start Saturday against Fresno State, but inconsistent scoring reared its ugly head again.
Boise State has traditionally been a solid shooting team under the leadership of Leon Rice, but this team continued its lackluster scoring on Saturday. Boise State was able to force Fresno into a low scoring dog fight in the first half. They went into the half with a 28-22 lead. While the Broncos were happy to have a six point lead, it felt as if they would need more scoring to come away with the win.
