The New Mexico Lobos had their usual November Saturday big sports day. Three teams played: football, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball. When it was all said and done the Lobos had a pretty decent day.
From the football standpoint, the team was once again defeated, this time 31-3 to Wyoming that ended the regular season at 3-9 and 1-7 in Mountain West play. The UNM defense gave up two 100-yard rushers in the loss; Xazavian Valladay went for 192 yards and two touchdowns, while Nico Evan gained 142 yards and added a touchdown of his own.
The Lobos’ offense wasn’t any better; gaining only 83 yards and picked up only six first downs.
