The 49ers were surprisingly competitive in the first half of their game against the Packers.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - After getting outscored 90-25 in their last two games, the San Francisco 49ers responded with a competitive first half against the 3-0 Green Bay Packers.
Green Bay took a 7-3 lead into the break. Aaron Rodgers completed 13 of 20 for 129 yards and an opening drive score. Colin Kaepernick completed 7 of 10, for 78 yards, while adding 43 yards rushing.
The 49ers though they had Rodgers stopped on his first possession, when Ahmad Brooks and Quinton Dial had a sack on the game’s first third down.
