July 4th is a day to honor the armed forces for their service they have provided, and one future military member decided to announce what school he would be attending as well as playing college football.
Beau English plays quarterback for DeMatha Catholic in Maryland, and announced on July 3 that his choices would be down to Navy, Army or Air Force.
English did mention a desire to stay near home and that looked to benefit the Midshipmen, but he decided to head West and play for Air Force.
The 6-foot-2, 210 pound dual-threat quarterback was not recruited highly and in addition to his offers of the service academies he had interest from FCS schools like Robert Morris, Cornell and Howard.
