2016 Hawaii Football Recruiting: Hawaii signs versatile athlete in Eugene Ford

With Eugene Ford, the Rainbow Warriors nab an athlete that can play on both sides of the ball. The University High School product earned three varsity letters in football.

As a junior, he earned first-team all-City honors as a receiver. He followed that up with first-team CIF Division II all-City honors as a defensive back his senior year.

While showing clear talent on both sides of the ball, Hawaii wants him to play primarily on defense.

As a recruit, he gained ratings as high as two-stars from 247Sports, Scout and Rivals. Ford also got offers from San Jose State.
