The Rainbow Warriors add the state of Hawaii Defensive Player of the Year to their roster.
Hawaii will add the Honolulu-Star Advertiser Defensive Player of the Year, Keala Santiago. Santiago played safety for Kahuku High School and earned a multitude of first-team honors in his senior season.
He was a pillar of the Kahuku defense that held opponents to 4.1 points per game and shut 6 of them out. KHS ended their season with a 13-0 record while claiming the OIA and HHSAA State Championship.
Along with his safety duties, Santiago was the Kahuku punt return man.
