In a clash atop of the Eastern Conference on Sunday at Stade Saputo, our Bleu Blanc Noir faced off versus NYCFC. The Impact were looking to close the gap with top ranked NYCFC but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities and eventually fell 3-1.
The Impact were dominant in the opening minutes of the match and I was impressed with the scoring occasions they created early on. The Impact were moving the ball well and finding dangerous spaces from which to shoot from. Sadly, Montreal did not convert any of those good chances. On their side, NYCFC capitalized on just about every single one of their scoring opportunities.
