Patrice Bernier’s game seems to keep improving over the years. The 37-year-old midfielder is currently enjoying good moments with the Impact after being named to the MLS Team of the Week after Montreal the last game in NYC a couple weeks ago. His recent form brings back in the air the possibility of a return to international soccer.
The timing is ideal. Bernier is rainbow flicking Pirlo like it’s the easiest thing to do and Canada Soccer just appointed a new management team with a lot of pressure to succeed. Of course, the main focus for Octavio Zambrano will stay on development and youth but sometimes good old experience is what it takes to bring every single piece together.
