Montreal Impact defender Laurent Ciman left training on crutches after suffering an ankle injury on Thursday.
The reigning MLS Defender of the Year, Ciman was hurt while blocking a shot by Anthony Jackson.
The club told the Canadian Press the 30-year-old would be examined by doctors, and it was too early to know if the injury is serious.
Meanwhile, the Impact are also hopeful of getting Cameron Porter back in action soon, with the forward training on his own after his latest injury, a hamstring strain suffered this month.
Porter scored a last-minute goal to defeat Pachuca in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals a year ago but then missed the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee in March.
