The Impact announced Tuesday morning that forward Michael Salazar was signed to a MLS contract ,keepinghim with the first team. Salazar, the Impact's second round selection of the 2016 MLS Superdraft, forced the front office hand into keeping him around, at least for the year.
His dominant and noticeable play during the teams preseason run ,at the Sun Coast Invitational hosted by the Tampa Bay Rowdies, was enough to convince Mauro Biello and Adam Braz of his worth as a potential MLS player
Salazar's impressive frame, boasting a 5'11" height, and 165 pounds in weight , allows him to play a more physical style than many others at his position, something that suits the physical style of play the MLS is known for.
