The Greater Montreal region has been affected by major floods over these past few days and the president of the local soccer team has decided to help the victims.

Here’s the statement made by Joey Saputo: “Our hearts go out to the victims and to all people affected by these floods. It is crucial, for me and for our entire organization, to support our community. Altogether, we can contribute in helping those who are going through some tough times in several areas in Quebec.”

The Montreal Impact club will donate $1 to the Canadian Red Cross for every ticket sold for May 13 game against the Columbus Crew SC, a game that will be played at the Saputo Stadium at 5:00 PM ET.
