Paul Scholes is back in football as interim head coach of the club he co-owns with his former Manchester United colleagues.
The club, unbeaten this season in 5th place in England’s League Two (4th tier), fired manager Graham Alexander, Monday morning.
Scholes had a previous go at management, a brief spell at Oldham Athletic his boyhood club, last year. The former Manchester United midfielder walked after one win in seven matches claiming he wasn’t able to run team affairs as he’d like.
Scholes will be in charge at Salford while the club process their search for a permanent replacement.
