Canelo Alvarez cruised to a one-sided decision over Jermell Charlo to remain the undisputed super middleweight champion Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Alvarez dominated the action from start to finish, including in Round 7, when he floored Charlo with an overhand right hand followed by a grazing right uppercut.
The judges scored it 119-108, 118-109 and 118-109 for Alvarez, who became the first male boxer with three defenses of an undisputed title in the four-belt era.
Saturday's fight marked the first between two male undisputed champions in the four-belt era. Charlo is the undisputed junior middleweight champion.
