The Montreal Canadiens have announced that goaltender Zach Fucale has been recalled to the National Hockey League team’s roster. The Habs also announced that Dustin Tokarsi, who was originally called up earlier this week, will be sent back to the St. John’s Ice Caps of the American Hockey League.
Fucale was the 36th overall selection in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft. He was the first goaltender taken in that draft, after an incredible season as a starting goaltender for the Halifax Mooseheads in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
At just 17 years of age, Fucale backstopped a young Mooseheads squad to an incredible 45-5-3 record with a 2.
