The Montreal Canadiens organization is in full preparation for the 2018-19 season at this point with the playoffs out of the picture at both the NHL and AHL levels for 2017-18.
The Laval Rocket have seen a lot of recent activity, signing college and junior overagers to tryout contracts to test their mettle, essentially starting training camp for next season early. Unfamiliar names such as Johnny Austin, Terry Owens, Bailey Webster, Anthony Beauregard, Adam Plant and Nikita Korostelev have found their place among the Rocket line-up. The score of the games no longer matters at this point, and the team in last place in its division.
