We have Frederik Dichow, the Montreal Canadiens Danish goalie prospect, with us for this episode. The Dane gives us a rundown on his time in the Swedish U20 playoffs, signing with the Ontario Hockey League’s Sudbury Wolves - and then not playing - before signing with Sweden’s and HockeyAllsvenskan’s Kristianstad.
In regards to signing with Sudbury, Frederik Dichow says that Montreal wanted him to try the North American rinks and the faster paced game. The Wolves had drafted him in the CHL Import Draft, and it was a good choice at the time. However, due to the OHL season not being played, Dichow had to stay in Denmark and practice hard, building up his strength all over but especially in the lower body.
