The Montreal Canadiens and Paul Byron have agreed to a four-year contract extension.
Byron was a waiver pickup by the Canadiens, as they added him from the Calgary Flames organization at the start of the 2015-16 season. He signed a three-year contract after his first year with his new club, and now gets a lengthy extension with still one year remaining on that original deal.
He has played 225 games with the Canadiens since being acquired, and has scored at least 20 goals in each of the last two seasons.
