MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens officially unveiled plans for their 2015 Fan Jam, the annual fan festival held ahead of every home playoff game. For the first time in its history, the Fan Jam will move to a new location away from its traditional site on the streets in front of the Bell Centre; this year the event will call a large, open-air lot on the corner of Peel and St-Jacques Streets home for the duration of the team’s postseason run.
“With the volume of construction around the Bell Centre this year, we were faced with a logistical challenge of offering fans a spacious yet secure and festive environment to celebrate the Canadiens’ berth in the playoffs without moving too far from the arena itself,” said team executive vice president and chief operating officer, Kevin Gilmore.
