The Canadiens sign Bobby Farnham to a one-year, two-way contract

The Canadiens have announced that they have signed former New Jersey Devil Bobby Farnham to a one-year, two-way contract.

Farnham, 27, played 53 games in the NHL last season. He ended up with eight goals and two assists during that span. It's unclear where Farnham fits into the system, although at first glance it's hard to imagine him on the NHL roster once the season rolls around.

He's known as an "energy" player, and has spent the majority of his pro career in the AHL, playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins' farm team in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
