MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced the acquisition of goaltender Ben Scrivens from the Edmonton Oilers on Monday in return for forward Zack Kassian.
Scrivens, 29, displays a 2-6-1 record in 10 games thus far this season with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, along with a 3.47 goals against average and a .893 save percentage.
The 6’2’’ and 181 lb goaltender shows a 42-56-17 record with seven shutouts in 129 career regular season games in the NHL. A native of Spruce Grove, Alberta, he has maintained a 2.90 goals against average and a .
