It was an impressive home opener for the St. John's IceCaps. Sven Andrighetto and Christian Thomas each scored a pair, while Zach Fucale stopped 31 of 33 in his professional hockey debut.
Andrighetto got the ball rolling by finishing a three-way passing play with Bud Holloway and Charles Hudon
The Holloway-Hudon-Andrighetto trio would strike early into the second following a fantastic series of plays by Hudon to both obtain possession and regain possesion.
