Zachary Fucale kept his perfect start to the season alive, leading the IceCaps to a 5-4 victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The game also saw rookie Nikita Sherbak score his first professional goal.
At 1:39 of the first, after a save by Fucale, Christian Thomas sprung Daniel Carr on a breakaway. The sophomore forward went forehand, backhand and made no mistake, putting the home team up by one.
Just a few minutes later, with Michael McCarron in the box for the IceCaps, Bracken Kearns tied the game with a power play goal.
