For the second time in four years, the NHL is adding a franchise to the league, bringing the divisional alignment to an even four groups of eight teams with the Seattle Kraken.
That means all the existing teams (minus the Vegas Golden Knights, who are exempt) have protected just a small group of players from their rosters and left a good amount of NHL regulars and promising prospects available.
