The Montreal Canadiens have reportedly decided to extend Director of Amateur Scouting Trevor Timmins.
The report comes from the Toronto Sun, in an article largely discussing the Jonathan Bernier trade:
The Canadiens have extended the contract of their amateur scouting boss Trevor Timmins, who has had some home runs in recent years
The extension is yet to be confirmed by the team.
Although he hasn't had as many draft picks to work with in recent years, with the team using second-round picks as currency in player acquisitions, Timmins and his staff have brought some promising talents into the organization.
