The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they've agreed to a two-year contract with Phillip Danault.

Danault was acquired at the trade deadline from the Chicago Blackhawks, along with a second-round pick in 2018. Going the other way was fan favourite Dale Weise, and Tomas Fleischmann.
