Nathan Beaulieu extended for two years

Marc Bergevin has locked down another key piece of the Habs defensive core.

A week after signing Jeff Petry to a six year deal GM Marc Bergevin locked down another key piece of the Canadiens blueline. Pending restricted free agent Nathan Beaulieu has signed a two year deal with an $1M AAV as per Elliotte Friedman.

Beaulieu tallied nine points in sixty four games with the Habs last season, and one point in the playoffs before being knocked out with a fractured sternum. From the beginning of the year to the playoffs saw Beaulieu's ice time grow more as the season went on.
